Take Time for Yourself: Soothing Teas to Calm and Restore

Chamomile is among the best-known stress-soothing teas. In fact, recent studies suggest that chamomile and matcha teas may reduce anxiety by helping to rewire the body's stress response. One 2016 study found that long-term use of chamomile helped to reduce moderate symptoms of generalized anxiety. Matcha's calming effect is thought to be due to an activation of dopamine and serotonin mechanisms, both closely related to anxious behavior. No matter how it works, there's no denying that a warm beverage is a calming and restorative experience.

I have selected several fine products that can provide a warm, calming experience. With Sifter.shop, it’s an easy and enjoyable experience.

Here’s how I did it:

The overall Tea Category has more than 4,700 products. So selecting only Packaged Teas reduces the number to roughly 2,000 options.

Then I set my personal preferences—No Artificial Colors, No Artificial Flavors and Sugars-None Added—which further narrowed the packaged tea assortment.

From there, I discovered two chamomile teas, which happen to also be caffeine-free, along with two matcha teas that can give me a caffeine pick-me-up when I'm looking for it. The matcha teas I selected are also organic and made with no GMOs.

Take time for yourself today with a soothing cup of tea from my list, or use Sifter.shop to find your own personalized product selections.
